Then and Now Sanbornville Rail Yard and Turntable Park

Archeological survey conducted for the Wakefield Heritage Commission by Victoria Bunker, PhD, Consultant, resulted in definition of the Turntable Park Archeological Site, an important cultural resource within the Sanbornville Historic Area. Features and components corresponding to the nineteenth-twentieth century rail yard were recorded through historic research, field documentation and ground penetrating radar; with some surprises.
